Stripes in the sun ☀️

If you’re ever in downtown Tampa and looking for a cute date idea, go to the Riverwalk. It’s such a relaxing walk and the scenery is to die for. At the end of the walk, there’s a fine arts museum that you can go to. (You have to pay for admission obviously) Also, this place is one of the best places to go watch the sunset 🌅. *fellas, you’re welcome”

Dry Skin? We got you covered.

Winter, why do you exist?? With the coldness blowing in real fast, our skins are the ones taking a toll on dryness. Dry skin ain’t sexy, but don’t worry, I’ve got the perfect tips for you!

  1. According to Iconiclooks, you should avoid hot showers, but if you choose to take a hot shower – try to only limit it to 10 minutes only. After getting out of the shower, moisturize yourself immediately with lotion. Lastly, don’t expose yourself to the harsh weather too much.
  2. According to lovetoknow.com, try to eat more fatty food rich in omega-3 such as: salmon. If you’re not into salmon, there are a lot of supplements that you can substitute to get the same effect.
  3. Moisturize your face daily. For your day lotion, be sure it has at least an SPF 15. Night lotion, make sure you use a lotion that’s hydrating. My current favorite is Olay Regenerist.
  4. STAY HYDRATED. Drink water daily, at least 6 glasses a day.
  5. Eat your veggies, they’re not only good for your body, but also for your skin.

Got any tips that I didn’t list? Please comment below, I’d LOVE to hear it! 🙂

10 ways to maintain a happy & healthy relationship

tumblr_nbngbsxXwr1r6ooeio1_500Let’s be real, building a relationship with your significant other can be at times difficult, but I know we can all agree that it’s worth it in the end. We’re all craving for that butterfly in your stomach, laughing uncontrollably, be silly with relationship. They’re hard to come by, but so worth the wait. However, once you find that right guy, you’re stuck with him forever. (haha, just kidding.) At this point, you’re most likely in your “Honeymoon stage”, where you’re always laughing with one another, never a dull moment. However, this moment doesn’t last too long. You eventually bring yourself to reality and you finally see the good and bad about that person. Nobody is perfect, but when you love someone, the good always outweighs the bad. If you still agree with everything I say up to this point, and have similar experience with yourself, then keep on reading.

If you want to maintain a healthy and happy relationship with that person, you’re going to have to work hard. No one said relationships are easy. It’s all about living by these 10 values.

  1. Be honest with one another.
Don’t lie to your significant other, because eventually, he/she will most likely find out. If you lie once, you will lie again, just to cover that first lie. If you’re a girl and your best guy friend wants to hang out with you, but your boyfriend gets jealous. Tell your boyfriend that you’re hanging out with him, if he loves you, he’d just be happy you told him ahead of time.
  2. Trust.
Always, always, always believe in your significant other. If you can’t trust your boyfriend/girlfriend, then don’t be with them. Trust is the main key to a successful relationship.
  3. Open communication is key.
Talk to one another about everything, whether it’s a problem or happy news. Your boyfriend/girlfriend is there to support you no matter what. Don’t hide your feelings in your heart, it’ll just bring you to a dark place. Just tell him/her how you feel, s/he will be more than happy to cheer you up or fix it.
  4. Say “sorry” when needed.
You’re not always right. There are going to be times where your pride gets in the way of your apologies, don’t let it. When you admit you’re wrong and apologize, it helps create a balance in your relationship.
  5. Don’t be stubborn.
Be open to change, you’re not always right.
  6. Respect one another.
Don’t bring one another down, instead, lift each other up. If your boyfriend/girlfriend said they don’t want to go swimming. Even if it’s a nice day for a dip, don’t force him/her to. They probably have their own reason why.
  7. Laugh uncontrollably.
My philosophy is, if he/she makes you laugh, stay with him/her.
  8. Don’t ever give up.
Keep on trying and don’t ever stop.
  9. Have a filter.
Don’t just say what’s on your mind. I know I’m guilty of this, but I know that I’ve hurt my boyfriend’s feeling a couple of times with my no-filter mouth. Think about what you’re saying and how it can affect them.
  10. Don’t stay mad.
We all get mad at on another for different reasons. But when you’re mad at your boyfriend/girlfriend for something, snap out of it quickly. Everybody makes mistakes and just know that if you love him/her, then you’ll know that he/she feels bad enough already. Don’t make it worst by staying mad.

Those are just a few tips I’ve learned in the past 3 years or so, I’m still learning everyday, but all I know is, I want to be happy. Live by those values and you’ll be on your way to a happy relationship!

MOMA date <3

   – Enjoying a cup of coffee –
  Coffee, sunnies, & sugar
Coffee date with this cutieOur view

We all love art, whether is historic, modern, or “weird art that we will never understand what it means”. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went on a little date in NYC and we decided to stop by the MOMA museum. He just went there a couple of days ago and this was my first time. When you think of museums, you think of yourself spending the whole day there and enjoying the art, sculpture, etc. But…since we were running a little late from our previous activity, we only had around 30 minutes to spare. In case you didn’t know, the MOMA museum closes at 5:30pm; (Which is normal museum time, but we just assumed that it’d be open later) we arrived at 5:00pm and practically ran in. The only reason why he wanted to bring me was for the rooftop cafe. He said it was a beautiful view and the environment itself is amazing; so naturally, I was intrigued.

We quickly ran into the elevator and pressed “5”. Went to the hostess and asked for 2 seating outside, by the balcony. As the hostess speak, our happiness level went from 10 to a solid 3, real fast. She apologized and said that they are starting to clean up the balcony and that they can’t seat any more people. My boyfriend insisted to sit outside, in a polite manner. Explaining to her that we drove all the way from NJ, just to have a cup of coffee at the rooftop cafe. After (what it feels like) 5 minutes of persistent from our end, the hostess finally gave in and allowed us to sit outside. As we sip our latte and cappuccino, we looked out and admire the beautiful view of the city. While we were sipping our drinks, I obviously had to snap a few pictures – for my memory and more importantly – my blog, obviously! (I’m only kidding)

It felt so peaceful up on the rooftop cafe. Not a worry in the world. With absolutely no stress in my mind, I looked at my boyfriend and – smiled.

Let me know if you have ever been to the MOMA museum before!

Beach Bums and their Essentials!

    Swim suit: h&m

Ahhhh, it’s finally hot enough to go to the beach and relax! I know I’ve been waiting for this moment for ages, I feel like. We actually ended up going to the beach later than we anticipated, but nonetheless, it was still a gorgeous day. We went to the 7 presidents beach, located in Long Branch, NJ. I’ve been going here for years now and its still just as beautiful as my first visit. The beach itself is so clean, because you have to pay a fee of $8/person, so people that tend to go to this beach are usually more well-mannered. You also have to pay for parking as well, unless you find street parking or meter parking. But parking is $8/car, which isn’t too bad. For this beach, there’s also a food area, showers, and bathrooms by the “boardwalk” area. I’d highly suggest anyone in the Monmouth area to go to this particular beach, if you have the chance!

On this gorgeous beach day, it was around  80 degrees outside – the water was perfect, the sun was beaming, and the sand was warm. I felt like I was on paradise for a second, that’s how much I missed the warm weather. The beach itself was fairly crowded, which I was not expecting – but then, why wouldn’t it be crowded on a warm Sunday?? Whenever you go to the beach, you gotta prepare yourself to the fullest, in order to be worry-free.

Beach Essentials:

  • Umbrella – to keep out the UV rays and keep your food cool
  • Cooler – for your water and food
  • Water – so you don’t dehydrate
  • Food: sandwiches, watermelons, snacks
  • Bathing Suit – duh!
  • Flip Flops
  • Change of clothes
  • Plastic Bag – to hold your wet bathing suit
  • Sunnies – to keep them eyes protected
  • Sunscreen!!!
  • Aloe – in case you get sunburn
  • Book – to keep yourself entertained
  • Headphones – for music
  • Hat – to keep the sun out of your face
  • Lip balm with SPF – to make sure your lips are moisturized
  • Small Wallet – for your license, credit cards, and cash
  • Towel – to lay on

There you have it, your beach essentials! Tell me about your favorite snack for those beach days!! 🙂

Hello lovlies xx,

We all love to go out, have fun, party, work, etc. But, after a long day, we all want to do one thing – RELAX. Here’s a few tips on how to unwind your mind and body.

Tip #1: Take a nap! This can help you regain energy the natural way.

Tip #2: Grab a cup of hot tea. Tea can help you relax your mind with every sip you take. Don’t substitute tea with coffee! Coffee helps you stay alert and focus.

Tip #3: Listen to some soothing music. 🎶 My personal favorite is the solo piano station on Pandora.

Tip #4: Watch Netflix. Catch up on your favorite TV series!

Tip #5: Go for a walk. 🚶🏼It can help you clear your mind and get your exercise in!

If you have any other tips that you personally do and work, comment below! I’d love to know 💕 xx
