Ah, summertime – best time of the year for getting brunch with your girls / family / significant other. However, brunches can get pretty expensive if you go out every weekend, so here are the steps to create the BEST DIY BRUNCH DAY EVER!
First, you’ll need to create a cute & fun invite to send out to all your friends – making it super official. There are a few ways you can create that perfect invite:
- Check out Paperless Post for ready to send custom invite instead, making your life simple while making you look chic. My favorites on the site are: Cucumber Lemon Vodka, Mother’s Day Brunch & Pop the Bubbly.

- If you’re feeling EXTRA creative and want to create your own, try using Canva for an easy DIY “hand crafted” card! Just choose the “Card” template and start designing. (They also have already made cards as well)
Now that you’re all done with your invites, it’s time to send them out and wait for their RSVPs. In the meantime, you need to start preparing the menu – the main event of brunch. Here are a few of my favorite dishes:
- Eggs Benedict with Shortcut Hollandaise
- Nutella Stuffed Pancakes
- Cranberry French Toast with Mascarpone
- Twisted Sticky Caramel-Pecan Roll
- Tomato-Cheddar Strata with Broccoli
- Overnight Savory French Toast
And now onto the mimosas…
- Watermelon Agua Fresca Mimosas
- Pineapple Coconut Champagne
- Raspberry cream mimosa
- Tangerine Sorbet Champagne Floats
- White Cranberry Mimosa
- Lemonade Mimosa with Bloody Orange
Lastly, time to decorate the shiz out of your place to make it the best brunch ever. The best place to find the best decor idea is on…PINTEREST! (How basic)

Recently I’ve discovered the BEST homemade lunch for work that everyone should 100% try it out. It’s healthy and delicious (delicious is the key word).
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Grape Tomatoes
- Small piece of Salmon (or you can substitute with any kind of meat)
- Pine nuts
- Red/Yellow/Orange peppers
- Lemon pepper salt
- Coconut oil
To start off, you’ll need to first cut up the kale into little chunks, cut the grape tomatoes in half, season the salmon (or any kind of meat) with lemon pepper salt and cut up the peppers into little cubes.
First, preheat the oven at 350 and grease your pan to start baking the salmon for 30 mins. While the salmon is cooking, start cooking your quinoa on the side. Then startheating up your pan with a little bit of coconut oil on medium heat. Add in some garlic for flavor, then gradually add in the assortment of peppers, onion, kale and grape tomatoes. Allow it to cook until tender (around 10 mins or less).
Now that everything is cooked, you can start packing your lunches!
Place the quinoa on the bottom, top it off with the kale, garlic, onion, tomato and pepper mixture on top of it. Add the salmon on top and sprinkle some pine nut to top it all off. Just like that, you’re ALL DONE!
If you end up trying out this recipe, let me know how you like it! Or if you have a healthy recipe you enjoy making for lunch, I’d LOVE to try it out too.
During the holiday season, most people ask for a lot of materialistic items that they desire. I’m not suggesting that is a bad thing, but sometimes, it’s better to ask for less and be more humble. Often, it’s easy to like items that have a price tags on it. But, studies show that most people are happier receiving handmade DIY gifts that are tailored to them specifically.
I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite YouTubers and their Holiday DIY Gifts! These gifts are suitable for family, friends, and even boyfriends! I gotchu girl!
If you end up making any of these gift ideas, please share them with me!! 🙂
To all my short, sparse eyelashes friends,
I feel your pain. I remember looking at the mirror every morning, doing my makeup routine, and thinking – “why am I not blessed with perfect lashes??” We can’t always get what we want, but we can definitely do things to help us get to where we want to be. Disclaimer: I’m not telling women that they have to change themselves to be someone they’re not, rather, this is to help them feel more confident about themselves. Let’s get right into this beauty hack!
All you’re going to need is one ingredient…and it’s…CASTOR OIL!!
How to use it?
Take a cotton swab and dip it into castor oil. Gently swab it against your lash line and eyebrows. Do this every night, you’ll definitely see a difference in your eyelashes and eyebrows.
Does it work?
My eyelashes have definitely grown since I started using it. My friends tell me that my eyelashes are so long for an Asian and it’s because I have a little secret. 😉
Hope you try it out! If you do, leave me a comment below!
