Eyebrow Tint | #BeautyHack

How many of my readers have sparse eyebrows and is sick and tired of filling them in every single day?? Cause I know I am. I’m going to share with you my favorite eyebrow products and my recent discovery that will solve your problem.

For the past few months, my favorite go-to eyebrow pencil is from KIKO MILANO. This store is located at almost every mall I’ve been to in New Jersey. If you have trouble finding one located near you, they have a website that I’ve attached above!

This Precision Eyebrow Pencil is my holy grail and I LOVE it. The color pigmentation is ahhhh-mazing and the price is a steal! ($9.99) The product is almost as great as the Anastasia Eyebrow Pencil, which is crazy. I would recommend this product to anyone of my friends/family/readers/anyone, and I know anyone would love it too.

But…if you’re getting tired to filling them in all the time, every single day; then keep on reading. I’ve recently discovered EYEBROW TINT!! (I know it’s been around for a while, but I was always too afraid to try.)

Godefroy Eyebrow Tint Kit, Dark Brown

The Godefroy Eyebrow Tint Kit is sold on Amazon, Ebay, and in some stores. The price for the eyebrow tint varies from $10-13, but it comes with a large amount of product. Each box comes with a: 20 Pre-measured Color Capsules, Cream Developer 1.5 oz, Reusable Applicator Brush, Mixing Cup, Instruction Sheet. It claims that it lasts for  uses, but each capsule can be used for several applications and you can’t keep it after you’ve mixed it with the cream developer. So, here’s my little tip for you: Go to the dollar store and purchase a contact case – open the capsules and pour 2 in the left side, and pour in some cream developer in the right side.

For each application, use the brush included and scoop out a little bit and pour it into the mixing cup; repeat the same process for the cream developer. Mix the mixture into a creamy consistency and start dabbing on your eyebrows. Leave it on for 1-2 minutes, wipe it off with warm water and pat dry with tissue. Mine lasted for a week, which is pretty good for me!

February Favs | Beauty

With February coming to an end, here’s a few beauty items that I loved this month:

  1. COCONUT OIL! This is my holy grail of all beauty products. I was really skeptical about using it as a moisturizer because I didn’t want my skin to feel greasy afterwards. But my skin feels AMAZING afterwards and smells awesome too. It keeps my skin moisturized all night and all day, which is better than name brand ones like: Aveeno. I use it as my daily moisturizer on my face as well!
  2. Drops of Youth from The Body Shop. This serum is organic and it really helps restore bounce in my face. I would recommend this product to anyone that’s trying to cut down cost from purchasing high-end face serums, this works just as well.
  3. Plus White 5 Minute Teeth Whitner. You can buy this at your local Walmart for about $10 or less, and this really does work! This is definitely an inexpensive way to whiten your teeth without the splurge.
  4. Sample Clinique Barbie Pink Lipstick. I got a chance to try out this clinique long lasting lipstick in a similar shade of Barbie Pink (I’m not 100% sure what the color name is called!). Usually I’m not a big fan of pink lipsticks, but this color is GORGEOUS!!
  5. Jergens Gradual Glow. I LOVE this stuff! I use this once a week  mix in with my spf daily moisturizer as my base, and I have a tanned face for a whole week. Since I only use it once a week, my face does not turn orange or anything, but it gives me a beautiful glow.

What are some of your favorite beauty products??

Much Love,

Dry Skin? We got you covered.

Winter, why do you exist?? With the coldness blowing in real fast, our skins are the ones taking a toll on dryness. Dry skin ain’t sexy, but don’t worry, I’ve got the perfect tips for you!

  1. According to Iconiclooks, you should avoid hot showers, but if you choose to take a hot shower – try to only limit it to 10 minutes only. After getting out of the shower, moisturize yourself immediately with lotion. Lastly, don’t expose yourself to the harsh weather too much.
  2. According to lovetoknow.com, try to eat more fatty food rich in omega-3 such as: salmon. If you’re not into salmon, there are a lot of supplements that you can substitute to get the same effect.
  3. Moisturize your face daily. For your day lotion, be sure it has at least an SPF 15. Night lotion, make sure you use a lotion that’s hydrating. My current favorite is Olay Regenerist.
  4. STAY HYDRATED. Drink water daily, at least 6 glasses a day.
  5. Eat your veggies, they’re not only good for your body, but also for your skin.

Got any tips that I didn’t list? Please comment below, I’d LOVE to hear it! 🙂

Why you should invest in a face serum?

“Moisturize your face, take care of your skin, use SPF on your face, don’t expose your face to the sun for too long…” I’m sure we’ve all heard one of those phrases one way or another, whether we hated hearing it or we appreciated it. A few years back when I was still in high school, I definitely hated hearing it. However, now that I’m older (and hopefully wiser), I see the importance of taking care of your skin. You can take care of your skin in many different ways, but recently, I’ve gained a new found obsession/love – face serums.

I’ve never used them before and have always been skeptical. I hated the feeling of putting oil-like serums on my skin. Why would I want to make my face oily after washing all the dirt and oil off my face? – made no sense to me. BUT, once I started using the face serum, I’ve seen a significant difference in my face. It looks more vibrant and healthy comparatively, also it makes my skin moisturize all day long.

There are a lot of different face serums out there, for some guidance as to which brand to purchase that will benefit your skin the most – check out this article.

Want long eyelashes and thick eyebrows?!

To all my short, sparse eyelashes friends,

I feel your pain. I remember looking at the mirror every morning, doing my makeup routine, and thinking – “why am I not blessed with perfect lashes??” We can’t always get what we want, but we can definitely do things to help us get to where we want to be. Disclaimer: I’m not telling women that they have to change themselves to be someone they’re not, rather, this is to help them feel more confident about themselves. Let’s get right into this beauty hack!

All you’re going to need is one ingredient…and it’s…CASTOR OIL!!

castor oil

How to use it?

Take a cotton swab and dip it into castor oil. Gently swab it against your lash line and eyebrows. Do this every night, you’ll definitely see a difference in your eyelashes and eyebrows.

Does it work?

My eyelashes have definitely grown since I started using it. My friends tell me that my eyelashes are so long for an Asian and it’s because I have a little secret. 😉

Hope you try it out! If you do, leave me a comment below!

My top 5 beauty hacks/tips!

Let’s be honest, being girls is not simple at all. There’s a routine behind it everyday, whether it’s skincare routine, make up routine, or workout routine. Well, I want to help you girls out, here I’ll share with you my top 5 beauty hacks that I’ve learned and done and is still doing.

  1. Oily face, gross! There’s a product out there that’s perfect for this issue – oil blotting sheets. However, we might not always have these handy, I know for sure I don’t. But, don’t you worry, I’ve got just the hack for you! You can actually use toilet paper seat covers as oil blotting sheets! You might think it’s kinda unsanitary, but think about it, it’s in a box. On top of that, you use them to cover the dirty seats for your clean booties. Trust me, it works wonders.
  2. If you’re anything like me, then you’re super impatient at times, especially in the morning. It’s rough waiting for your daily moisturizer to dry in the morning before you put your make up on. So put your hair dryer on the cool setting and aim it at your face.
  3. Oh sh-t! Have you ever had one of those moments in the morning, when you’re rushing out the door and your make up looks like a complete mess? Well, don’t worry. Wherever you messed up, just grab a cotton swab and put some lotion/petroleum jelly and boom, it’s gone.
  4. Ever looked in the mirror in the morning and go, “oh jeez…” Yeah, we all have those. Sometimes, we’re just super tired and need a little help to look awake. Grab a nude eyeliner or white eyeliner, line it on your waterline and bam, you look more awake!
  5. Greasy hair is a BIG no-no, but washing your hair everyday is also a BIG no-no. So, what do we do? Well, you could either use dry shampoo, you can find this at your local Wal-Mart or drugstore. However, I read an article somewhere that using too much dry shampoo is actually bad for your hair. It slows down hair growth and dries out your hair. Instead, the night before, I’ll usually put the back part of my hair into a bun and leave the front bang section of my hair out. I jump in the shower and only wash the front section. You could also do this at the sink, if it’s easier. Wash it out with shampoo only and NO conditioner. You don’t want to make it greasy again.

Hope you enjoyed all my beauty hacks/tips! Let me know if you’ve tried any of them or any beauty hacks that you like that I didn’t list!
