How to balance a Healthy Lifestyleย 

I have to be 100% honest with you all, it’s HARD balancing a healthy lifestyle. Some say it’s impossible, but like my bio – even the word impossible has I’m possible in it.

As you all know (if you’re a new reader, keep on reading and you’ll be all caught up!), I recently started my full time job which has a longer work day than most. I wake up everyday at 5am and sometimes don’t get home until 8pm or 9pm. Yet I still manage to do a quick 30 mins to 1 hour workout daily.

When you’re working out, you HAVE TO motivate yourself by setting a goal. It could either be losing X amount of weight or building muscles. Whatever your goal may be, stick to it. Write it in a journal and track your progress daily. You could also take a picture every week to see your own progress, that’s always a great way to motivate yourself to work harder.

When working out, it’s important to be sweating your butt off. That’s how you know you’re pushing yourself. Since I have such a tight schedule, I usually workout at home by watching some YouTube videos instead of going to a gym. Here are some channels I LOVE working out to.

Boho Beautiful, she does a lot of yoga, Pilates and HIIT workouts. She shows you detailed instructions and does it with you. I LOVE doing this when I want to fit a quick workout in. I usually do 2 videos per workout.

XHit, it’s a channel showcasing various trainers with various exercises. It depends on what you’re aiming to do, they probably have it. Again, I usually do 2 videos per workout.

Lastly, the infamous Kayla Itsines!ย If you want, you can purchase her ebook guide online or download her app to purchase them as well. However, I found that if you do this little trick, you can do her Bikini Body Guide (BBG) for free.

  1. Search Kayla Itsines on YouTube
  2. Click on the first video. It’s of a woman doing the whole guide showcasing her transformation and it tells you what the exercises are.

Fair warning: the BBG is HARD and will make you SWEAT!!! But it’ll feel so good afterwards. Currently I’m only on week 1, day 2. Follow my health journey on my Instagram!!
