Ever heard of Camellia Oil? It’s also known as tea seed oil, which is the actual green tea oil. It comes from the seeds of Camellia sinensis, the plant from which all the tea is made. Tea seed oil is a wonderfully healthy in more ways than one. Tea seed oil is used in a number of beauty products and I’m going to share the 2 products that I just recently discovered and CANNOT live without.
- 1 Step Camellia Cleansing Oil by Tatcha – $48
Recently I was invited to an event at Barney’s where I received a sample of this cleansing oil from Tatcha. I’ve heard great things about cleansing oils, but never tried it because I was afraid of breakouts or leaving my face greasy. But let me tell you…I was SO wrong.
This cleansing oil not only removes your make up (even waterproof – I only wear waterproof mascara!) gently but it also cleans your face. You start by putting a pea sized of the cleansing oil in your palm, then gently massage it throughout your face as you watch your makeup melt before your face. Then you wash it away with some warm water, leaving your face moisturized and clean.
2. Camellia Hair Coating Essence by Red Flo – $20
I was at a Korean beauty store recently and the sales manager told me I HAD to get this hair serum and that’s all she said. I was a little skeptical, but eventually bought it anyways. I used it that night on my hair and let me just tell you – it left my hair silky and smooth. I definitely recommend this to everyone who has colored or damaged hair.
So here’s how you use it, for those who can’t read Korean (like myself haha). First, you start off with damped hair and massage a pump of this hair essence in your scalp (I guarantee you it won’t leave your hair greasy). Then you blow dry your hair like normal. After you’re done styling your hair, apply a small pump to the ends of your hair only. And there you go – you have the smoothest hair out of all your friends.
Have you ever tried Camellia Oil before? Let me know!
